Madonna confirms she’s a mother again.
Previously reported, in January, rumor had it that the pop icon had been given the green light to adopt 4-year-old orphaned twins, Stella and Esther Mwale (who she’s also referred to as Stelle and Estere), from Malawi. Although the 58-year-old denied reports at the time, on February 7, multiple outlets reported that she had appeared at the High Court of Malawi alongside her lawyer, as well as the twins’ father and uncle, who witnessed the adoption.
Meanwhile, a rep for Madonna told People that “Their mother died a week after she delivered the babies” in August 2012. “After their mother died, the children were looked after by their grandmother, who could not fully provide for them, so they were taken into an orphanage.”

Now, it appears that Madonna has confirmed those reports, taking to Instagram with cute footage of the twins singing “Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star.”
In 12 hours since being posted, the video has been viewed over 400K times. Later on, “I can officially confirm I have completed the process of adopting twin sisters from Malawi and am overjoyed that they are now part of our family,” she captioned a photo featuring herself holding hands with her newly-adopted children. “I am deeply grateful to all those in Malawi who helped make this possible, and I ask the media please to respect our privacy during this transitional time.”

According to reports, Stella and Esther spent a good portion of their childhood at the Home of Hope orphanage in Mchinji, the same public institution where her son David Banda lived prior to his own adoption.

Meanwhile, the pair will certainly be surrounded by lots of love as they’ll be joining by Madonna’s other children, Lourdes Leon, 20, Rocco Ritchie, 16, and adopted children 11-year-old son David Banda and daughter Mercy James, whom she adopted from the country in 2008 and 2009.
What a beautiful family.
