It appears that Scottie Pippen and his wife, of nearly 20 years, Larsa have rekindled their romance.
Last October, it seemed as though the Pippen household was crumbling and fast, after the couple, who wed in 1997, revealed they were going their separate ways. According to court documents filed in Florida, the retired NBA player and Hall of Famer, 51, filed for divorce from the “Real Housewives of Miami” alum on Tuesday, Oct. 18. While Kim Kardashian’s close gal pal was notified on Thursday, Oct 20.
“This is a very difficult time for Mr. Pippen. He is hopeful that the divorce will be swift and amicable,” Scottie’s attorney Roberta G. Stanley told People at the time. “We are respecting his request to protect his privacy and the privacy of his children during the dissolution of marriage proceedings.”
“After careful consideration and 19 years together, Larsa and Scottie have each filed for dissolution of their marriage. Although they are no longer to be married, Larsa remains hopeful that she and Scottie will always do what is best for their four beautiful children and jointly raise them with love and respect. She would like to thank everyone for their understanding and kindly ask for privacy from the media during this difficult time of transition for her family,” a rep from Larsa’s camp told E News in a statement.
Though there were no confirmed reports of infidelity, after Scottie filed for divorce the rumor mill was buzzing with claims that she was involved with rapper Future. Stirring the pot, the hip-hop artist shared a cryptic message on Snapchat, writing, “She mines nooowwwwwwww!”
Meanwhile, multiple outlets reported that weeks prior to Pippen’s filing, police responded to calls for “domestic disturbances” at their Florida home on both Oct. 1 and Oct. 4. The Chicago Bulls alum was also seeking full custody of their three sons: Scottie Jr., Justin and Preston, and as well as their daughter, Sophia.
Fast-forward nearly five months and it appears that all the drama is water under the bridge. On Saturday, March 4, Larsa posted what appears to be a date night photo on Instagram with Scottie. “XO,” reads the caption. Though neither party has responded to rumors of reconciliation.
