Nicki Minaj finally responded to Remy Ma weeks after the lethal diss record, “ShETHER.” However, she was assisted by her Young Money labelmates, Drake and Lil Wayne.
The song “No Frauds” serves as a quasi-response and doesn’t equate to Remy Ma’s lyrical thrashing. Nicki manages to jab, but never lands a knockout punch.
“Heard your p— on ‘yuck,’ I guess you needed a pap, what type of bum b— shoot a friend over a rack?/What type of mother leave her son over a stack?….’Back to Back,’ oh you mean back to wack?/‘Back to Back’? Me and Drizzy laughed at that.”
Nicki also took a moment to speak on her apparent 360 record deal by rapping, “I never signed a 360, b— you wild dumb/that’s why Jay ain’t clear his verse for your album.”
“No Frauds” features a memorable hook and a few respectable punchlines, but it fails to stand out as a significant response. It also takes power away from Nicki by adding Drake and Lil Wayne. It plays to the notion that Nicki needed a team to respond to Remy Ma.
Nicki Minaj also released a collection called “#3PackFromParis” which also features the songs, “Regret in Your Tears,” and “Changed It.”
