President Donald Trump appears to be testing out his toys. On April 13, Trump called for American troops to drop the nation’s largest non-nuclear bomb on Afghanistan.
The Massive Ordnance Air Blast Bomb, nicknamed the “mother of all bombs,” was dropped on a cave where ISIS members were allegedly hiding. The bomb was dropped after fighting intensified between U.S. Special Forces and Afghan troops against ISIS.
During his campaign, Trump said he would “bomb the s—“ out of ISIS. But the bombing comes at a high price. The MOAB, equipped with the power of 18,000 pounds of tribunal explosives, reportedly cost $341 million.
Following the bomb attack, Americans reacted to Trump’s latest action as commander in chief.
Funny how the US can drop $314million bombs on tunnels, I thought they couldn’t afford basic public healthcare #MOAB #Afghanistan

Hard to watch $314 mil spent on bombs instead of education, medical research, childhood hunger, environment & healthcare. #Afghanistan #MOAB
