According to the CDC, stress is the cause of about 90 percent of all diseases and illnesses, so if we find a remedy for the root cause of our stress — we can relieve all dis-ease. Nobody knows stress like entrepreneurs, so how can balance be achieved for busy businesswomen?

One way to live a less stressed life is through balancing your chakras. In order to find out how it’s done, we turned to Rubi D. She is certified in Natural Holistic Remedies, Chakra Healing and Reiki and truly has a heart for helping others heal from the inside out.

For those who may be unfamiliar, what exactly are chakras?

Chakras are the energy centers in our body. We have seven primary Chakras which are the Root, Sacral, Solar Plexus, Heart, Throat, Third Eye, and Crown Chakras. Each is associated with an emotional/spiritual piece of us as well as areas of our bodies.

Why is it important for busy businesswomen to balance their chakras?

Women are naturally nurturers and emotional beings. We make decisions based on our emotions.  When we are emotionally healthy, we make better decisions period. Not only personally, but professionally as well. Making the wrong decision simply because you’re “in your feelings” can be detrimental to your business. When our Chakras are balanced, we’re able to see a situation from so many angles instantaneously and above what’s going on at the present moment, so we are able to make decisions based on clarity and trusting our intuition. This pertains to every aspect of our businesses such as relationships, branding, product/service development, customer service, etc.

What are some of the effects of being unbalanced? Without your health, your wealth doesn’t really matter. Why do you think it’s important for entrepreneurs to understand how their bodies work?

Your body is much more in tune with the universe, although mentally you may not be. When your body tells you something, you need to listen. It knows you way better than you know yourself, hence the term Knowledge of Self. You must know and embrace who you are mind, body, and soul. When you learn to listen to your body, you begin to trust it.

What advice can you offer to someone who feels out of balance?

For those that feel out of balance, try meditating, yoga or some form of exercise. Do more of what makes you happy. Become more in touch with nature. There is so much a person can do to begin to balance themselves. Do what resonates with you.
