Atlanta Hawks point guard Dennis Schroder, 24, was arrested on Thursday by the police in Brookhaven, Georgia, a northeast Atlanta suburb. Schröder, who finished his first season as a starter, was charged with misdemeanor battery. According to Sports Illustrated, Schröder has been released on bail.
The Atlanta Hawks issued the following statement:
“We are aware of an incident involving Dennis Schröder earlier this morning. We are still gathering information as it pertains to the situation, and out of respect for the legal process, we will have no further comment at this time.”
