EBONY recognized #BlackExcellence and as honoree Bozoma St. John phrases it, #BlackSplendor, at it’s 2017 EBONY Power 100 Gala, which was held on Friday, December 1, 2017 in Los Angeles at the historic Beverly Hilton.
Attendees toasted to the EBONY Power 100 list and the memorable evening delivered hashtag-able moments ranging from heartfelt acceptance speeches to endless laughter courtesy of host Deon Cole.
Believe it or not, not too many of the celebs who we caught on the red carpet wore the go-to LBD. EBONY chairman emeritus Linda Johnson Rice went bold with red sequins and looked simply amazing with her honey blonde hair. “Power” actress Naturi Naughton wore white but shades of red from cranberry to candy apple brought the December holiday cheer to sunny Los Angeles.
The cutest couples to hit the carpet were Mathew Knowles and Gina Avery, Anthony Anderson and Alvina Stewart, and Magic and Cookie Johnson.
