Solange diagnosed with autonomic disorder, forced to cancel Afro Punk show

Solange recently revealed that she is experiencing health issues. In a post on her social media page, Solange shared that she has an autonomic disorder.

“It’s a complicated diagnoses , and I’m still learning so much myself, but right now, my doctors are not clearing me for such an extended lengthy flight, and doing a rigorous show right after,” Solange wrote.

Symptoms can include problems with the regulation of heart rate, blood pressure, body temperature, perspiration, and bowel and bladder functions. Other symptoms include fatigue, lightheadedness, feeling faint or passing out (syncope), weakness, and cognitive impairment, according to info given by the Mayo Clinic.

Over 1 million  Americans suffer from some form of autonomic disorder.

In 2016, Solange found her own voice by releasing the classic album, A Seat at the Table. She was scheduled to perform at the Afro Punk show in South Africa on New Year’s Eve. However, she will have to cancel the show due to the health disorder.
