Martin shined as one of the few Black women NFL columnists in the country this year. The current Washington reporter dropped one of the more insightful pieces of the year with “Tyrod Taylor Unfiltered,” a story where the Buffalo Bills quarterback voiced his view as being a Black starter in the league. The feature was released a month before Taylor was benched for one week.
