Malik Yoba portrays Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. in the 2013 TV movie “Betty and Coretta” which chronicles the lives of the widows of King and Malcolm X, Coretta Scott King (played by Angela Bassett) and Dr. Betty Shabazz (Mary J. Blige), respectively, who become single mothers after the assassination of their husbands.
