Trump says drug dealers should be killed, sentenced to the death penalty

Donald Trump believes that drug dealers should be killed. In his latest political rant in Pennsylvania, Trump took aim at drug dealers.

“We catch a drug dealer, death penalty. That’s it.” Trump said to his supporters. “You kill 5,000 people with drugs because you’re smuggling them in and you are making a lot of money and people are dying. And they don’t even put you in jail,” Trump said. “That’s why we have a problem, folks. I don’t think we should play games.”

Trump gave praise to countries such as China and Singapore where drug dealers could face the death penalty if convicted. He also likes the policies of Philippines’ President Rodrigo Duterte. Duterte’s policies has led to the killings of thousands of suspected drug dealers.

But Trump’s blatant hypocrisy continues. He wants to adopt China’s strict stance on drug dealers, but he has yet to side with China’s strict stance on guns. In China, gun ownership is strictly regulated. as a result, gun violence is rare in China. The United States has more than twice as many gun-related deaths when compared to China.

While opioid abuse is being viewed as an issue because it is affecting middle America and suburban areas, violence against drug dealers is not the answer. America is a nation where drugs could be viewed as a problem on the street level and when it comes to the pharmaceutical industry.

Trump rarely uses reason when speaking, his latest statement against drug dealers is just another bad idea.
