Now that longtime “Real Housewives of Atlanta” cast member Kenya Moore has been reportedly demoted and downgraded to “friend” status, which would mean she had her “peach” snatched from her according to the Straight From the A blog, the way has been cleared for another beauty queen to traipse into the vacant spot.
Model and actress Eva Marcille is reportedly the woman who is getting the upgrade and filling the void. After appearing on “RHOA” season 10 as a friend of the cast, Marcille is getting her peach and earned a permanent place on “The Real Housewives of Atlanta.”
Eva Marcille Pigford, the 33-year-old Los Angeles native and “America’s Next Top Model” alum, was initially introduced to the “RHOA” group by longtime cast member NeNe Leakes.
US Weekly wrote that Marcille is getting the full-time gig based on her being a new mom again and her engagement to Atlanta businessman Michael Sterling. There are also rumors that Marcille’s forthcoming wedding to Michael will be a major theme for her during season 11 of “RHOA.”
News that Marcille is getting her peach comes as reports that Kenya Moore’s has a reduction in rank and relegated to the “friend of the show” status. US Weekly reports that Bravo producers did not offer the 49-year-old Detroit-born beauty queen a full-time contract.
Kenya recently called out “low-budget blogs” spreading fake news.
Marcille became engaged to attorney Michael Sterling in December 2017, and the couple’s son, Michael Sterling Jr., was born April 13, 2018.
Marcille also has a daughter, Marley, 4, from her relationship with troubled singer Kevin McCall. The two had a very turbulent breakup in 2014 and Marcille has full custody of their daughter with no ties to McCall.
The “RHOA” gig is not the first foray into reality or regular TV for Marcille. Her first was the season three winner on “ANTM,” where her fame was born. She was a cast member on Oxygen’s reality show, “Girlfriend Confidential: LA. In 2017” and was a competitor on the first season of VH1’s “Scared Famous.” She was also a co-star on BET’s “About the Business.”
Marcille’s film credits include The Walk, Crossover, and I Think I Love My Wife.
