Netflix is giving you more excuses to cozy up in your bed and indulge in a bit of rest and relaxation during the month of August. The world’s leading internet entertainment service is bringing fascinating fare for viewers, from classic silver-screen movies to some of your favorite binge-worthy TV shows.
The month begins with some great offerings starting on Thursday, Aug. 1, with Quentin Tarantino’s Jackie Brown, featuring Pam Grier and Samuel L. Jackson; Why Do Fools Fall In Love, with Halle Berry, Vivica Fox, and Larenz Tate; Ice Cube’s Are We Done Yet?; and all five of the Rocky franchise movies.
On Friday, Aug. 2, the platform will release a host of other titles for your amusement, including Otherhood, starring Angela Bassett, a film about three moms who bond over their son’s forgetfulness on Mother’s Day, and season one of “Basketball or Nothing,” a great new sports docuseries. Season 3 of the underrated series “Dear White People” featuring Logan Browning is also out today.
In the following weeks, fans can enjoy Tiffany Haddish Presents They Ready on Aug. 13, and “13 Reasons Why” will return on Aug. 23.
