Ronnie Mitchell shares 3 misconceptions about Black people and skin care

Why was it important for you to create this partnership?

It was important for me to help this organization because I love my country and I support the troops that protect and serve my country. I also have family members who have served and are currently serving in the United States military. They have directly expressed to me the challenges of caring for their skin while deployed overseas. Utilizing my expertise as well as the products that I have created allows me to help our troops directly.

What does a healthy skin regimen look like?

A good skincare regimen does not have to be complicated. You need a good cleanser to start with like my oil-infused African black soap. It balances the skin without stripping it of its natural oils. Then follow that up with a good toner that tightens up the skin’s pores or that has a slight astringent effect. That’s really good for acne-prone to oily skin. Lastly, you need to use a good moisturizer every day to help keep your skin soft and hydrated.
