What technology or apps do you use?
Definitely Serato, that’s a DJ’s go-to; Phase; and I still love my Technics 1200 [turntables].
Which artists are on your playlist right now?
I listen to rap, but it’s not my driving force. I really like listening to instrumental music like new jazz artists. If I had to say somebody in the urban space, I like this guy named Teezo Touchdown. He’s different, and I appreciate that. I like Don Toliver. His tone is very nice. And … obviously the Atlanta stuff.
What word of advice would you give someone who aspires to be a DJ?
Work on your skill set because that’s what’s going to sell you as an artist, and just stay consistent. Practice makes perfect.
