Interior luxury

Part of the appeal is how the muscle-bound Armada’s exterior contrasts starkly with its luxurious interior. The impressive technology of the 2021 Armada is sure to awaken your inner geek. There are fun switches all over the front row. The Armada’s infotainment center now has a 12.3-inch display with Wi-Fi, wireless Apple CarPlay, Sirius XM radio, wireless device charging, a six-speaker stereo, a Wi-Fi hotspot and wired Android Auto.

Smooth ride

The 2021 Armada is also smooth and cushy for its size and can negotiate different terrain, whether it’s smooth surfaces or the desert as this writer found out firsthand. It flexes with a robust chassis and four-wheel-drive system. Armada is anchored by a 5.6-liter V-8 that translates to 400 horsepower and 413 pound-feet of torque. It has that melodious growl when you rev up the engine that muscle car enthusiasts crave, but it’s called a “thirsty vehicle” because it’s a gas-guzzler. Its 8,500-pound towing capacity means there is bite to the Armada’s bark.

Priced to sell

The manufacturer’s suggested retail price of the 2021 Armada starts at $49,895 for the base S model, while the Platinum runs up to $66,295.
