The Godfather of Harlem mid-season finale is here and will air on Sunday, May 23. Episode 206, titled “The Ballot or the Bullet,” revolves around three Freedom Riders being murdered in Mississippi. The catalyst of the series, Bumpy Johnson (Forest Whitaker), wants justice, as well as a hedge against Federal investigation. Chin Gigante (Vincent D’Onofrio) evades imprisonment with an “insanity” defense and Malcolm X (Nigél Thatch) delivers his most fervent call to action.
After the mid-season finale airs, the series will return on August 8, 2021.
