Jack Daniel’s awarded four up and coming designers through their Classic Remix Fashion Grant Program to receive grants created to empower the next generation of fashion designers.
Lynchburg, Tenn. (May –, 2021) – Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Honey and Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Apple have awarded four aspiring fashion designers with a $18,750 grant to conclude its Classic Remix initiative designed to connect with the next generation of fashion enthusiasts. Through Classic Remix, Jack Daniel’s collaborated with designers Sheila Rashid and Ouigi Theodore to release limited-edition custom apparel inspired by the brand’s flavored offerings, Tennessee Honey and Tennessee Apple. Jack Daniel’s later matched 100 percent of apparel sales to create four grants to award up and coming designers.
The entry process required applicants to submit one original fashion design sketch, a portfolio of fashion design work, and a brief video describing their vision for future growth and how it impacted their community.
“Fashion is such an essential part of our culture and through the Classic Remix grant program, Jack Daniel’s is excited to continue its ongoing commitment to embracing culture and driving it forward,” said Keenan Harris, Jack Daniel’s Senior Multicultural Marketing Manager. “We look forward to what’s to come from these four creators, and to see how they continue to leverage their art to impact fashion.”
