“What do you usually look for in a boyfriend or girlfriend?”
This question comes off like you are asking to see if this person is worth your time, or worse, like you are asking so you can fake being this ‘perfect mate’ to get what you want. Even if your intentions are good, this question is still too forward for a first date, enjoy their company and let these conversations come naturally and in their own timing.
“I found you on social media …”
We all do it, but why did you tell them, and on the first date at that? As a woman, this is a big red flag and can set off an alarm in her mind that you may be a creep or stalker. This will definitely have her texting her friend under the table to make her an excuse to leave.
“This waiter sucks …”
Complaining about anything excessively is such a turn-off. The point of a date is to focus on the two of you, so if you are complaining or pointing out everything else, it can appear that you are disinterested in the date. Plus, no one likes a jerk with nothing nice to say.
