Jada Pinkett Smith is commemorating her half-century mark on earth in a way that only Hollywood royalty could pull it off.
Multiple marquee celebrities conspired with Pinkett Smith’s mother, Adrienne Banfield-Norris, to throw a star-studded surprise birthday bash for her Emmy Award-winning daughter and host of the cultural phenomenon “Red Table Talk.” No less than the créme da le créme of entertainment showed Pinkett Smith some love, including Samuel L. Jackson, Gabrielle Union, Angela Bassett, Kerry Washington, Mariah Carey, Jordyn Woods, George Clooney, Ciara, Method Man, Jimmy Kimmel and others.
Pinkett Smith’s birthday celebration will be shown on the upcoming episode of “Red Table Talk,” Wednesday, Sept. 22 at 12 p.m. EST.
Pinkett Smith’s mother gave the most touching tribute by showing a rare childhood photo of her daughter along with the heartfelt caption:
“Guess who’s turning 50????WOW!! Unbelievable!!! 50 years ago today @ 12:38pm you arrived weighing a whopping 7 lbs. 3 3/4 oz,” Banfield-Norris began on her Instagram page. “I was and still am so very proud.”
“I thank God for the village of family and friends who helped me guide you over the years. I am overwhelmed with gratitude.” Banfield-Norris continued.
Of course, Pinkett Smith’s superstar husband Will Smith and her brood; 20-year-old Willow Smith, 23-year-old Jaden Smith and her 28-year-old stepson Trey Smith – were in on the surprise bash and skating party.
Meanwhile, other celebs showered Pinkett Smith with warm sentiments and virtual hugs. “Thank you for showing us the way,” Gabrielle Union said in a virtual message, while Comedy Central host Trevor Noah added, “Thank you so much for making our lives so much better.”
Pinkett Smith also posted a gang of photos of her celebration for her 11 million Instagram followers that included Emmy Award-winning choreographer and director Debbie Allen.
