The curated dinner boasted of a three course meal that included:
- First Course: Coconut Cauliflower Soup.
- Second Course: A choice of Beet Root Campenelle, Pan Seared Salmon or Pollo Al Mattone, and
- Third Course: Olive Oil Cake.
There was also a special dish prepared by Chef Samuelsson that included roasted carrots with ayib and awaze.
Special invited guests in attendance included WW CEO Mindy Grossman, Taraji P. Henson, Sunny Hostin of the daytime talk show The View, Sheinelle Jones from the Today Show, and a host of other impeccably dressed notables.
Before dinner was served, restaurateurs Samuelsson and Leeper-Bueno addressed the crowd. “Tonight, we’re going to celebrate healthy, delicious, fabulous neighborhood comfort food. I want to say thank you to every single one of you for coming out to celebrate with us. Yvette did an amazing job,” Samuelsson remarked as he passed the mic to Leeper-Bueno.
“A warm welcome to everyone for coming to Vineteria. I am so thrilled and honored to be included in a celebration for an organization that is promoting such healthy well-being,” Leeper-Bueno started. She then went on to detail the menu for the evening, and wrapped up by saying “Tonight, you’re here at my restaurant, but I hope you visit the other restaurants too. Go to Red Rooster and Melba’s and soak it all in. There’s so much wonderful cuisine. Thank you so much and enjoy your evening.”
As a parting gift, each attendee received a WW branded gift bag that included card-gift packs from Mahogany, water bottles, an eye sleep mask and some even received wine bottles.
