Space Jam: A New Legacy

The highly-publicized sequel of the 1996 Space Jam, which Pro Basketball Hall of Famer Michael Jordan starred in, returned this past summer with Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James at the forefront. Don Cheadle, Michael B. Jordan and Zendaya are also featured in the cast, along with various NBA and WNBA stars. Since its July 10 release, the movie has brought in over $162 million at the box office, according to Box Office Mojo. Rotten Tomatoes gave it a 25% rating. It can be streamed on HBO Max.


Coming 2 America

A sequel of the 1988 classic, which starred Eddie Murphy, returned this past March. With Murphy and Wesley Snipes returning to the latest installment of the series, Teyana Taylor, James Earl Jones, Garcelle Beauvais, Tracy Morgan, John Amos, Rick Ross, Colin Jost and Morgan Freeman also featured on the cast. Rotten Tomatoes gave the film a 49% rating. It can be streamed on Amazon Prime.


Judas and The Black Messiah

Offered a plea deal by the FBI, Bill O’Neil, played by Lakeith Stanfield, infiltrates the Black Panther Party to get information from leader Fred Hampton, played by Daniel Kaluuya. Although the film is rated R for violence and pervasive language, Rotten Tomatoes gave the film a  96% rating. The movie is available on Amazon Prime, HBO Max and Hulu.
