“It’s like a snowball effect,” Davis said. “One thing after another, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom.”
Davis has worked on 23 projects since he retired from the NFL in February 2020, including with Bruce Willis and Morgan Freeman. There’s one more star he wants to meet one day.
“Will Smith,” Davis said. “It’s unbelievable how many similarities we have. This girl gave me his book [Will]. She said, ‘I want you to read this book, because when I read this book, I think about you.’ I read it, I was like, ‘Oh my gosh, this is crazy. This is unbelievable.’ ”
The similarities came from not being accepted growing up, both of their grandmothers’ names being Gigi, riding unique bikes to school and working toward eliminating plastics from the environment.
“I would love to meet him some day,” he said.
Since retiring, Davis learned how to professionally ride a horse on “Ultimate Cowboy Showdown,” he owns real estate, production companies, Jamba Juice franchises, the energy drink Riff and PathWater.
“Sometimes, I forget them all over the place,” Davis said. “I’m interested in so many different things, but I still try to make sure I have a cast of people around me to help me vet these things.”
