SoCal civil rights groups to support Brian Flores’ lawsuit against NFL

After the lawsuit sent powerful shockwaves reverberating throughout the NFL and sports world, there were suddenly hirings of two Black men as head coaches this past week, as if a magician waved his wand: Lovie Smith with the Houston Texans, and Mike McDaniel with the Dolphins.

The Black coalition also demands the league facilitate a real tryout session for former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick after that debacle put on by the league in 2019.

“NFL commissioner Roger Goodell has stated the NFL believes in fairness and that it’s not a racist organization but the NFL owners have treated former Quarterback Colin Kaepernick like a runaway slave,” said Najee Ali, director of Project Islamic Hope, according to eurweb.com. “The NFL owners have acted like their plantation owners.  That’s why our coalition wants Kaepernick to have a legitimate chance to try out for an NFL team again unlike the sham tryout they previously tried to arrange [for Kaepernick].”
