What are three tips for people looking to become entrepreneurs?
One, educate yourself. There are some great books out there. The E Myth is a phenomenal book. The second piece would be to understand the industry that you’re going into and have some passion, have some peace there. You tend to be a little bit more successful if it’s authentic to you. I was a little bit more excited about CBD because it became authentic to me. My passion, hopefully, comes through because I truly am a consumer. And then surrounding yourself with people who can support you, mentor you and provide some financial support. It’s daunting to have payroll and product. I was just at a great seminar and they talked about us as African Americans, that we’re over-mentored and undercapitalized. That was the greatest thing that hit my brain in my years.
