Jackson’s premonition was on point and the couple has managed to find synergy working together on their love, life and career, mainly their real estate endeavors. Their combined skill set creates the perfect balance with Sherrod helping buyers conceptualize their vision and Jackson bringing that vision to fruition. The couple feels like the opportunity to executive produce their show which truly highlights their day-to-day life at home with their three daughters, and their passion to help people find their dream home was divine timing.
“We’d been asked to do reality shows together, but it was important for me to protect our marriage first. I also realize that many times Black men are torn down on some shows and that’s not what I wanted for us,” Sherrod shares.
Jackson agrees that turning down opportunities that weren’t a great fit for their combined goals led to them finding the perfect situation with HGTV.
“If you trust God and stick to what’s important for you, the right opportunity will come. You just have to have faith and stick to your standards,” Jackson says.
