Hailing from Atlanta, Grammy award-winning artist Monica made her way to New Orleans in front of an excited crowd on Day 2 of the Essence Festival of Culture concert series. Monica has been a music sensation since she was in her teens, and has been giving her fans a sweet sound for a long time.

Monica went down her catalog of hits throughout her set, performing “Don’t Take It Personal,” “Before You Walk Out Of My Life,” “Why I Love You So Much,” “Love All Over Me,” “U Should’ve Known Better,” and more. Toward the second half of her set, she paid homage to some of the fallen music artists from New Orleans such as Magnolia Shorty and Soulja Slim.
