Nicki Minaj’s husband Kenneth Petty has been sentenced to four months of house arrest following his latest legal transgression, according to reports.
Petty, who married Minaj on Oct 21, 2019, was handed down the sentence for recording himself with his crew firing off a series of threats at rapper Offset on Sept 16, 2023. The video quickly went viral and Offset later responded by calling the threats “funny.”
Offset is married to Minaj’s archrival and fellow New Yorker Cardi B, and the two have been embroiled in an on-again, off-again beef for the past several years.
According to the court order filed Wednesday in the Central District of California that was obtained by The Hollywood Reporter, Petty was ordered home monitoring for violating the terms of his probation. He was, according to the legal documents, “recorded on video making threatening remarks to a specific individual while in the company of someone with a criminal record.”

Petty had already been put on probation for failing to register as a sex offender when he and his famous wife moved from their New York hometown to Southern California in 2020. As most hip-hop fans know, Petty was convicted and sentenced to four years in prison for the rape of a 16-year-old girl in 1995.
In the widely-circulated video, Petty is being recorded with his boys saying that they are out in the streets waiting for Offset to show up so that they can “play.” Offset reportedly has a residdence in New York.
“Plan that vacation, you gonna be planning your funeral p—-,” Petty also told Offset.
