With Jonathan Majors’ ongoing case, Marvel Studios is considering moving on from the actor. Majors’ was supposed to have a big role in the next phase of the MCU as Kang the Conqueror, but executives have looked at other alternatives.

According to Variety, if Majors loses the trial, Marvel could consider moving their focus to another villain that is big in the universe, Dr. Doom.

During an annual retreat, executives discussed that Majors’ trial left them in a bad position, and with the strike going on, they weren’t allowed to write his character out. They’ve also already promoted Majors’ character to be the main villain of the upcoming film Kang Dynasty and Secret Wars in the final episode of “Loki.”

Majors was arrested in March 2023 after he and his ex-girlfriend allegedly got into a domestic altercation, and has since pleaded not guilty to charges of misdemeanor assault, aggravated harassment, attempted assault, and harassment.

Grace Jabbari, Majors’ ex-girlfriend, recently turned herself in and was charged with assault and criminal mischief, but was released after police issued her a desk appearance ticket.

According to the police report, Jabbari was upset when Majors received a text message from another woman, and she allegedly snatched his phone from him.
