Jennifer Hudson is in a “very nice relationship” with a mystery man.
The 42-year-old singer has been romantically linked to rap star Common for more than a year, and Hudson admits that she’s “very happy” in her relationship.
“I am very happy, yes, ma’am. Boo’ed up? I think it’s more sophisticated than boo’ed up … Definitely not an entanglement. That’s for sure,” the chart-topping star told “CBS Mornings.”
Hudson and Common — whose real name is Lonnie Lynn — were first linked in 2022, when they were spotted out and about together. The celebrity duo previously worked together on the movie Breathe, and Hudson even addressed the rumors in an interview with “Entertainment Tonight.”
“People create their narratives of it and it’s like, OK, you know, how you feel. We shot a film together and he played my husband. We gotta eat in between those moments,” Hudson said in response to the speculation.
Meanwhile, Hudson launched her own talk show in 2022, and the pop star previously confessed to being inspired by Oprah Winfrey.
The award-winning star hailed Winfrey, 69, for creating a “blueprint.”
Hudson told E! News: “You know, Oprah’s it. Those shows are embedded in all of us. They’re there and they’re the blueprint.”
Hudson has already enjoyed huge success during her career, including winning an Oscar for her starring role in the 2006 musical Dreamgirls. But the “Spotlight” hitmaker insisted that she won’t be resting on her laurels.
“It’s all there from the heart. I’m following my heart. I love people, I love talking, and so, y’all gonna give me a couch and a camera to talk to, where’s it at? Who you want me to talk to?” she said.
