On Thursday, December 7th, from noon to 2:30 pm ET, the Madison was abuzz with energy and enthusiasm as it hosted the highly successful rolling out + Rocket Mortgage Dream Doors Lunch & Learn/Design & Dialogue event. The venue was packed with a diverse audience representing various organizations, turning the event into a dynamic melting pot of ideas and insights. The event was sponsored by Rocket Mortgage and The Rocket Community Fund.
The luncheon set the stage for an afternoon filled with informative panels, engaging discussions, and valuable networking opportunities. Attendees took full advantage of the chance to connect before and after the event, exchanging ideas and contact information against the backdrop of the step and repeat, capturing memorable moments.
Cristyl Kimbrough, celebrity real estate professional and closing attorney, served as the event’s emcee and moderator. Kimbrough seamlessly transitioned the event from segment to segment with ease and excellence. Rolling out executive and brand strategist Porsha Monique gave opening remarks and welcomed the audience, setting the tone for what promised to be an enlightening gathering. Following her remarks, Kimbrough wasted no time in getting started with moderating both panel discussions.
The first panel, titled “Historic Inequity, Wealth Acceleration, and Community Initiatives,” featured distinguished speakers Rob Lockett, Team Leader of National Housing Stability at The Rocket Community Fund, and Camille Walker Banks, Executive Director of LISC. Both speakers delved into the importance of financial education for prospective homeowners, shedding light on housing inequities and outlining some of their respective programs. The audience was captivated by the expert commentary provided, opening up avenues for a thought-provoking Q&A session.
Nicole Sebree-Henry, Senior Director of Multicultural Marketing at Rocket Mortgage, and Wilson Santiago-Soler, Campaign Manager at Rocket Mortgage, took center stage for the second panel, addressing “Access and Affordable Programs through Rocket Mortgage.” Their insights into accessing affordable programs through Rocket Mortgage added another layer to the event’s multifaceted discussions. Once again, Cristyl Kimbrough expertly guided the conversation, allowing the audience to engage in meaningful Q&A sessions.
After the insightful panels, rolling out’s CEO & Publisher, Munson Steed, took the stage to close out the event. “All of us must become messengers to the community about home ownership. Tell your family and children that they should be home owners. The idea of intergenerational wealth and homeownership must start early,” he wholeheartedly encouraged.
The audience, consisting of luminaries, real estate professionals, and rolling out community partner organizations such as Making it Count LLC, left the event with a wealth of information and inspiration. The conversations sparked during the event reverberated beyond the Madison’s walls, with attendees actively seeking additional information and eagerly anticipating the return of the series next year.
The rolling out + Rocket Mortgage Dream Doors Lunch & Learn event proved to be a catalyst for meaningful conversations, networking, and a shared commitment to fostering positive change within communities.
