During Mo’Nique’s interview with Shannon Sharpe on “Club Shay Shay,” the comedian and actress let almost everything in her life be known when it came to people in the industry and other unheard stories.
Mo’Nique also opened up about her current relationship status with her son, Shalon Jackson, after Sharpe asked about him. Mo’Nique responded that were still separated.
“It’s one of those things where you have to pray to the universe and say, ‘Let time do the healing.’ That’s it,” Mo’Nique said. “Let time do that healing. It may heal it in time and it may not, and that’s something that we as parents have to say, ‘Listen, I’ve done what I can do. I’ve taken accountability for it. Now, it’s up to you.'”
On Feb. 13, Jackson shared his side of the story about his relationship with his mother, claiming that her praying to the universe to reconcile their relationship is false.
“My mother and I both know that is a very false narrative, and I would like to free her of having to continue telling that lie. Faith without works is dead, and neither one of us cares to put forth any effort to reconcile with the other. We are separate as she put it, because she doesn’t care to be my mother any more than I care to be her son. Neither of us has had the desire to reach out to the other in a very long time,” Jackson shared in a video.
Comedian Mo'Nique's son is making some shocking allegations regarding her parenting.
He claims she’s made it clear she doesn't want a relationship with him despite telling the public the opposite:

Jackson continues suggesting that Mo’Nique started being a mother after marrying her husband Sidney Hicks, who she refers to as “Daddy.”
“My mother does a fantastic job of acknowledging a lot of things, but she doesn’t take accountability very well … anything that she may take true accountability for, it’s only at her convenience,” Jackson said. “If I had to guess, though, her interest in being a mother probably started around the time she married her ‘daddy’ and had his children.'”
