Nicki Minaj has decided to switch things up a bit.

Despite selling out the London leg of her Pink Friday 2 tour and adding more dates as expected, the “Truffle Butter” rapper is instead choosing to headline the Wireless Festival in the city this coming summer. Minaj recently shared the news via her Instagram stories and said she has something special planned for the set.

“Instead of doing another arena show in London after we sold out in the first week, I opted to do Wireless Festival,” Minaj wrote. “This year’s show will be a billion times more special, creative, beautiful, cohesive, ugh! I’m so excited. I’d like to tell you guys thank you in advance. Last year was so meaningful but won’t compare. Just wait & see.”

Originally a rock and pop-focused festival when it began in 2005, the Wireless Festival turned to a hip-hop-heavy format in 2013 and hasn’t looked back since. The Live Nation-owned and operated fest will take place July 12-14 in London.

Also serving as the main sponsor of Minaj’s Pink Friday 2 tour, Live Nation released a press release this past week announcing the unprecedented success of ticket sales thus far and hailing it “her best-selling tour to date with more than 25 sold-out arena shows in just days of presale.”

“This happened within days of presale,” Minaj exclaimed in a post sharing the Live Nation press release. “Now we are 10 days away. So grateful. SOOOOO grateful & honored to have you in #GagCITY.”

The Pink Friday 2 tour kicks off its North American leg with special guest, Monica, on March 1 in Oakland and is scheduled to wrap with the Oklahoma City show on May 13. After a week and a half off, Minaj will take the show overseas beginning the European leg in Amsterdam on May 23.
