Nigel Xavier’s tips for men’s fashion in 2024

Advice for upcoming seasons

Nigel Xavier knows design.

The 29-year-old Atlanta native boasts over 750,000 Instagram followers, has been named a rising fashion designer to look out for, and was featured in Latto‘s “Put It On Da Floor” music video.

Most recently, he has teamed up with Crown Royal and the Atlanta Hawks to reveal his “Crown’s Black Hawks History Throne” on Feb. 27. The partnership is part of Crown Royal Regal Apple to continue to promote and highlight individuals who have pioneered and progressed Black culture within the past century.

At the reveal, Xavier spoke to rolling out about it all.

What was it like to partner with Crown Royal and the Atlanta Hawks?

Aw, man. It’s amazing, especially during Black History Month. Atlanta has so much Black history here. To know Crown Royal just organically works with up-and-coming designers or just creators in general, it’s a blessing to be a part of it. I think this is a perfect opportunity for me to show my talent.

How did you build the “Crown’s Black Hawks History Throne”?

They sent me a bunch of jerseys; I upcycled them to look like two different ones. It’s Dominique Wilkins and Lou Hudson, and we just mixed them together and tried to blend it as cleanly as possible. This is what we came up with.

What styling tips can you give men coming up in 2024 as the temperature starts to warm up?

I love jerseys. I love anything vintage. You need some blue denim, for sure. Light blue denim for the bottoms. Give it a little bit of bagginess. That’s just where we’re at right now. Very vintage, I’m all about vintage; get some nice vintage T-shirts, and then you’re good to go, to be honest.

Where can people find you on social media?

@NigelXavier on Instagram Twitter, TikTok, all of that.
