Terry Crews has played many roles in different movies, and the amount of money never stopped him from doing what he loves the most.

The actor was a recent guest on Shannon Sharpe’s show “Club Shay Shay,” and revealed how much he was paid for his roles in earlier movies that he played in.

“I have never ever, ever looked at whatever money I got as a horror story,” Crews said. “You can’t nod yes and mean no.”

Crews went on to say that he was paid only $4,000 for his role in Friday After Next, where he played the character Damon. He then revealed how much he was paid for his role in Training Day, where he played a gang member.

“I didn’t get zero [for Training Day], but it changed my life forever,” Crews said. “You wouldn’t know who I was if it weren’t for a no-paying job.”

Crews compared his start in the entertainment industry to an athlete.

“Name somebody who played football for money when they started,” Crews said. “When they start, they get no money. They play football for free. They play basketball for free. Then, you get all the way to the pros, and you get the millions. There’s no other way. There’s no way to hop, skip and jump this thing.”

Crews went on to play in other movies such as Soul Plane, White Chicks, The Longest Yard and many more.
