Several plays always happen throughout the NBA season that leave the internet in shock. On March 18, there was one that had many fans in disbelief.

During the third quarter of the Minnesota Timberwolves and Utah Jazz game, Anthony Edwards came down the lane and threw down a poster dunk on John Collins. The aftermath of the play left Collins on the ground with a concussion, in which he had to leave the game, and Edwards with a dislocated finger.

With all of that damage done, the NBA world could not stop talking about what people are now calling the dunk of the year. After the game, Edwards was shown the play, and he was in disbelief himself.

“Little a– n—-, oh my God,” Edwards said as he made a loud noise watching the sequence. “That’s the best dunk of my career, I’m not going to lie. I couldn’t even react because I dislocated my finger.”

Edwards has had a few memorable plays like that in his career, including one during his rookie season when he flew over a Toronto Raptors player and fell to the ground afterward.

A few weeks ago, Edwards had an insane block at the end of the game that secured a victory for the Timberwolves. Fans couldn’t believe how high he jumped to save the ball from entering the basket.
