While everyone is focused on Kendrick Lamar dissing Drake and J. Cole on Future and Metro Boomin’s collaborative album, We Don’t Trust You, others have also noticed another beef brewing between two artists.
Many believe that the title track on the album confirms that Future and Drake are no longer friends.
In Future’s verse, he says “You a n—- No.1 fan, dog. Sneak dissing, I don’t understand, dog. Pillow talking, acting like a fed, dog. I don’t need another fake friend, dog. Can’t be about a h–, ’cause we sharing, dog. In yo feelings, n—-, why you playing, dog?”
Listeners think that Future was referring to Drake in line, and they think their fallout was because of a woman. In Drake’s song “What Would Pluto Do” on his album For All The Dogs,” the rapper mentions having sex with a girl because Pluto did it. Future is often referred to as Pluto.
“Last time I saw her she was f—— with my n—-. So the question is, the question is, what would Pluto? He’d f— the h– so I did it,” Drake raps.
Others think the beef between the two started when Drake made a joint album with 21 Savage titled Her Loss when he was supposed to work with Future on another album. Metro Boomin and Drake have already shown slight displeasure with each other after a back-and-forth on social media late last year when the producer mentioned that Her Loss kept winning Album of the Year instead of his album, HEROES & VILLAINS.
Metro Boomin deleted the tweet, but that led Drake to respond, mentioning the “tweeters and deleters.” Now, with Lamar hopping on the latest album with Future and Metro Boomin, it definitely seems like there is some pressure between the rappers.
