This past weekend, a new slang phrase called “No Diddy” was unleashed on the populace as a possible replacement for “pause” and the pejorative term “no homo.”

The term trended on X after Philadelphia-based rapper Quilly’s interview with Akademiks on the “Off the Record” podcast. During the sit-down, Quilly said “No Diddy” multiple times to imply that he was not a homosexual.

“All of my homeboys love me. I put all my guys in positions, no Diddy,” Quilly told Akademiks.

Sean “Diddy” Combs, as most of pop culture know, has been toppled as a titan of hip hop after the Bad Boy Boss was accused of gross sexual assault, kidnapping, sex trafficking, homosexuality and chronic domestic violence by former artist Cassie. Pop culture observers found it damning that Diddy settled with Casandra “Cassie” Ventura within 24 hours of her filing the lawsuit, which greatly eroded his credibility and precipitated the collapse of his once-impregnable name brand.

Moreover, producer BNYX also used the slang term in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter. The hitmaker wrote: “I put all my guys in positions. no diddy.”

Not surprisingly, 50 Cent loved the slang term and pounced on the opportunity to continue his relentless trolling of his hated rival Diddy. The “Power” and “BMF” producer has tormented Diddy incessantly since the recent string of sexual assault lawsuits have been filed against him in 2023.

Others in the entertainment field also got a kick out of the “no Diddy” phrase, including popular comedian and online streamer Kai Cenat.

So far, Fifty’s latest Instagram post about Diddy has gotten 230,000 likes, with most fans posting laugh emojis. One person added this thought:

“Facts!!! I’m not a kid, but me and my friends been saying that since the allegations came out!!!!”

Another fan said this in the comments section of Fifty’s post: “No Diddy is f—ing hilarious.”
