Jerrod Carmichael is again revealing very personal news to the world via his new project, “Jerrod Carmichael Reality Show.”
A little more than a week after news broke of Carmichael revealing that he fell in love with best friend, Tyler the Creator, on the show, the 37-year-old comedian is opening up about his sex life and the sex addiction he faces.
On the latest episode of the stark series first airing on Friday, April 5, Carmichael explores his relationship with sex, bringing viewers along as he attempts to find a therapist to deal with his emotional issues since confessing to cheating on his long-distance boyfriend, Mike.
In addition to admitting to using sex as an “escape” and being addicted to intercourse, Carmichael also touches on his fantasies of indulging in “race play” scenarios, a form of role-play in which derogatory racial scenarios and slurs are incorporated into sex.
“Sometimes, I joke to him that our relationship is like that of a slave and a master’s son who teaches me how to read by candlelight,” Carmichael jokes to a disapproving crowd. “Yeah, he groans too because he’s a good person. He doesn’t like the f——- joke. I like that joke. That’s my burden. I think that’s s—- is hilarious. ‘Yes, sir? Maria Antoinette, sir? I don’t know what that is!’ That’s a joke for me!”
In other parts of the episode, Carmichael confides in the therapist that he became sexually active at a very young age and claims to have had at least “1,000” sexual partners….and even that number could be “lowballing it.”
“I was a very sexual child since probably I was three or four, with older kids,” Carmichael tells the therapist. “I definitely had experiences with boys that I hid and my teenage years into my twenties, beginning secret sex with guys…Sex offers me power and control. It’s an escape. I use it to escape.”
“Jerrod Carmichael Reality Show” is currently streaming on Max.
