David Giddens shares an important message through his clothing brand

Giddens has the world on his back

David Giddens is the founder of the clothing brand 1,000 Wonders, where he inspires people never to stop dreaming, as there’s always a number of things to do with the right amount of ideas.

Giddens was at the Got Sole sneaker convention and spoke with rolling out about the meaning behind his brand and what inspired him to get into fashion.

What’s the meaning behind your brand?

It’s 1,000 ways to do things with 1,000 ideas, and never stop dreaming. We’re bigger than the world, so I put the world on my back. This is just the first drop; I just got it started and I’m two months in. I dropped all of my shorts today and they’re going to be dropping on the website soon. I have a lot of colorways and I’m trying to take over the summer.

What inspired you to get into fashion?

I’ve been into fashion since I was young. I just never knew how to get involved with it hands-on. I love drip. All I do in my free time is look at clothes. That’s how I spend most of my time, and this is second nature to me.

What have you learned about the business side?

You have to build connections, and you have to keep building connections every day. The more connections you have, the more places you can get into. Just keep coming up with new ideas and be different. Don’t try to do the same thing that everyone else is doing.

Give us some fashion tips for the season.

Just be yourself, and put it on. Don’t look too crazy or tacky, but put it together. Don’t overthink it. If it looks good, put it on.
