Several crew members have been injured on the set of Eddie Murphy‘s new movie.

An accident occured during the shooting of an action sequence for The Pickup in Atlanta on April 20 after the stunt “did not go as planned”, but it is unclear how many people were hurt in the incident.

“On April 20, an accident occurred on the set of The Pickup during a rehearsed 2nd unit action sequence. Unfortunately, the sequence did not go as planned and several members of the crew were injured as a result,” a spokesperson for Amazon MGM Studios told Deadline.

“We are still in the process of gathering facts on what happened and why, but first and foremost our thoughts are with those who are recovering,” they said.

“The well-being of the entire crew and cast is our first priority, and we will continue to insist on the highest industry standards of safety while filming. All safety precautions were reviewed prior to and monitored during the shoot,” the spokesperson continued.

Online reports suggest a truck “locked up” and crashed unexpectedly into a car, with two people hospitalized and injuries including bruises and broken bones.

According to the outlet, director and producer Tim Story or his lead cast members weren’t on the set as it involved a second unit shoot. It is believed production on the movie didn’t shut down in the aftermath of the accident.

The IATSE, the union representing the crew members, is investigating what happened.

“IATSE is aware of an accident that took place on the Georgia set of The Pickup and have started an inquiry,” the organization said in a statement.

Murphy leads the cast of the heist film, which will also star Pete Davidson, Keke Palmer, Andrew Dice Clay, Eva Longoria, Ismael Cruz Cordova, Jack Kesy and Marshawn Lynch.

Kevin Burrows and Matt Mider have written the script for the movie. While plot details have been kept under wraps, sources have described it as a heist comedy in the style of Bad Boys, with the Nutty Professor star set to play a character who becomes smitten with a woman and finds himself mixed up in a heist attempt.
