Recently, a media outlet suggested that 50 Cent aims to rival Tyler Perry, but the G-Unit Studios founder quickly dismissed the notion.

In response to a story from The Root titled “50 Cent Preparing to Be a Tyler Perry Rival?” 50 Cent turned to Instagram to set the record straight. “Yes 👏👏👏 I’m doing great but you’re getting it f—ed up if you think me and Tyler will be at odds at any point,’ he captioned his post, which included a screenshot of the blog post. ‘He’s helping me, already going out of his way to aid my progress. So in the nicest way 🤨 cut the s—!”

This isn’t the first time the “I Get Money” rapper has been compared to Perry. In April, he responded to an Instagram user who cheekily called him the male Tyler Perry. “LOL 😆 Yall better stop playing, Tyler will f— yall up he ain’t no sucker. Don’t get it f—ed up now!” 50 Cent wrote on Instagram.

50 Cent focuses on G-Unit Studios

50 Cent appears to have tunnel vision regarding his official studio, telling reporters during a press conference in April that G-Unit Studios is “more than just a business decision.” He continued, “It’s a commitment to foster talent, to create opportunities, and to invest in the community itself to build what I would need to be able to execute what I’ve got going with G-Unit Studios. It’s going to create a lot of jobs.”

With G-Unit Studios, 50 Cent is focused on creating opportunities and investing in the community, making it clear that his goals align with collaboration rather than competition.
