As Paris gears up for the 2024 Olympics, the city also celebrated the conclusion of the haute couture Fall/Winter 2024-25 season. This event showcased a series of stunning beauty trends from some of the world’s most revered fashion designers. Here’s a glimpse into the top beauty moments that defined this season’s couture week.

Thom Browne’s Olympic-inspired beauty

Thom Browne’s show was a nod to the upcoming Olympic games, featuring 48 unique beauty looks. Hairstylist Eugene Souleiman crafted statuesque pin curls in dark gray and blonde wigs, and makeup artist Isamaya Ffrench complemented these with cold complexions, frosted mascara, powdered cheeks, and touches of bronze.

Schiaparelli’s phoenix beauty

At Schiaparelli, the legendary Pat McGrath and hairstylist Guido Palau created looks that evoked a phoenix rising from ashes. McGrath used her Mothership I: Subliminal palette to achieve sublime skin and iconic eyes, highlighted with blitz blue and astral white eyeshadow, and rose pink lips. Palau styled the models’ hair into minimal high buns, adding a dramatic touch with a Margiela-esque veil.

Jean Paul Gaultier’s minimalist approach

This season, Jean Paul Gaultier, under the direction of couturier Nicolas Di Felice, presented a stark contrast to previous seasons with a focus on minimalist beauty. Makeup artist Diane Kendal executed precise, pin-straight eyeliner, while hairstylist Duffy complemented the look with straight, gelled-back hair. The beauty theme was completed with natural, unpolished nails by Cam Tran, emphasizing the trend towards bare, unadorned beauty.

These moments from Paris Haute Couture Week both highlight the artistic capabilities of designers and beauty professionals and set the stage for upcoming beauty trends in the fashion world.
