Lil Baby has been arrested and is being held in the Clark County Detention Center in Las Vegas.
The 29-year-old “Drip Too Hard” spitter, who was born in Atlanta as Dominique Jones, was apprehended in Sin City for being in possession of an illegal weapon.
According to the arrest record obtained by TMZ, Lil Baby allegedly had a handgun without a permit, which is a felony in Nevada. He is being held on a $5K bond.
Lil Baby’s attorneys, Drew Findling and David Chesnoff, explained to the entertainment publication in a statement that they are looking into the matter: “To be clear, Dominique Jones has a valid Georgia Carrying a Concealed Weapon (CCW) Permit. On his behalf, we are actively investigating the facts and circumstances surrounding his arrest in Las Vegas.”
This is not Baby’s first brush with the law. Back in 2019, he was arrested in his hometown of Atlanta for failure to signal, eluding police and reckless driving.
In 2021, French police discovered that Lil Baby had marijuana in the car he was riding in through Paris and hauled him off to jail.
