The Memphis-born rapper took the stage at UBS Arena in Elmont, New York, kicking off her performance with her breakout hit “Yeah Glo!” She then transitioned into her latest single, “TGIF” — only to have had a brief mishap momentarily disrupt the show.
Glorilla’s top became unfastened during her performance
The cameras cut away for a few moments, then returned to a close-up angle of GloRilla, who was now sitting center stage. There is no indication as to what happened, but she was holding her top on with one arm across her chest. The “Blessed” artist didn’t skip a beat, however, as she continued to charge through the track and dancers swirled around her.
Eventually, a dancer on GloRilla’s right noticed the star was struggling and aided her. The dancer helped snap the back of the top back into place, which enabled GloRilla to stay covered through the end of the performance.
GloRilla was one of the featured performers at the VMAs, which included Glo’s close friend Megan Thee Stallion, Eminem, LL Cool J, Lenny Kravitz, Anitta, Benson Boone, Camila Cabello, Chappell Roan, Halsey, Karol G, Lisa, Rauw Alejandro, Sabrina Carpenter and Shawn Mendes.
