On Oct. 5, Monica, Sevyn Streeter, and Tamar Braxton headlined a sold-out event at the Stockbridge Amphitheater, packed with devoted fans of all ages. Niecey Shaw (Radio One Atlanta) hosted the event to honor the talent, contributions, and legacies of the historical Black sororities: Alpha Kappa Alpha, Delta Sigma Theta, Zeta Phi Beta, and Sigma Gamma Rho. All night, sorors celebrated sisterhood while enjoying beautiful performances.

Headlining the evening was Monica, who sang her hits “Angel of Mine,” “So Gone,” and “Don’t Take it Personal.” Over the last two decades, Monica has captured the hearts of R&B lovers of all ages with her ageless voice and soulful sound. The audience knowing almost every word of her songs was a testament to that.

Tamar Braxton is a powerful vocalist in her own right, and she did not disappoint. The television personality and the youngest of the illustrious Braxton family joined Monica on stage to sing a few of her own hits. Sevyn Streeter also hit the stage with Monica and Tamar. She is known as a versatile songwriter because of hits like “It Won’t Stop” and her numerous collaborations with Chris Brown. The soulful triumvirate gave the ladies of the Divine 9 and their loved ones a night they won’t forget.

The Stockbridge Amphitheater, located at 4650 N Henry Blvd, Stockbridge, GA 30281, remains a live music hotspot, providing audiences with a cutting-edge facility to see their favorite acts, and you never know who will turn up for these events. The show featured notable guests such as Jasmine Guy, an award-winning actress recognized for her work on “A Different World” and “The Vampire Diaries,” and Keke Wyatt, a singer-songwriter and television personality known for her powerful voice.
