Netflix’s new thriller starring Colman Domingo ignites political intrigue

Netflix is poised to launch its latest gripping series, “The Madness,” featuring Emmy Award-winning actor Colman Domingo in a compelling political thriller. The series, set to premiere on Nov. 28, combines elements of conspiracy, survival and social commentary in an eight-episode narrative that promises to challenge viewers’ perceptions of truth and justice.

Star-studded ensemble

The series brings together an impressive roster of talent. Domingo plays the lead role of Muncie Daniels, with supporting cast Marsha Stephanie Blake, Gabrielle Graham, John Ortiz, Tamsin Topolski and Thaddeus J. Mixson. The series also features guest appearances from Deon Cole, Bradley Whitford, Stephen McKinley Henderson, Allison Wright and Ennis Esmer.


Unveiling the narrative

“The Madness” follows Muncie Daniels, a political consultant turned media pundit, whose peaceful writing retreat in the Poconos transforms into a desperate fight for survival. After witnessing a white supremacist’s murder, Daniels becomes entangled in a complex web of conspiracy and deception. The story explores themes of family reconciliation, unexpected alliances, and the battle against disinformation in contemporary society.

Creative vision and production

Behind this ambitious project stands a talented creative team, including creator and co-showrunner Stephen Belber, fellow co-showrunner and executive producer VJ Boyd and director Clément Virgo. Additional executive producers include Peter Chernin, Jenno Topping and Kaitlin Dahill.
