Drake announced his “Anita Max Wynn Tour” will begin Feb. 9, 2025, in Australia, coinciding with Kendrick Lamar’s Super Bowl LIX halftime performance in New Orleans.

The rapper’s recent provocations include mocking Kendrick Lamar’s Super Bowl selection, joining Nicki Minaj and Birdman in trolling Jay-Z’s ambassador role. Drake has also targeted The Weeknd, requesting his music be turned off during streams, stating, “We’re the real Sixers, the real 6ix side. We don’t listen to that.”

Recent tensions extend to Drake’s responses to Metro Boomin’s criticism, with Drake posting cryptic messages about producer loyalty. He’s also engaged in social media exchanges with Future, hinting at strained relationships despite their previous collaborations.

The tour announcement follows Drake declining multiple Super Bowl performances, suggesting he prefers controlling his own platform. Industry sources indicate extensive production plans, with shows scheduled across Australia, Europe, and North America.

Drake addressed industry dynamics during his livestream: “Rap music is weird now anyway. I’m here, fully intact. Mind, body and soul. You need facts to take me out. Fairy tales won’t do it.”

Concert promoters project record-breaking ticket sales, citing Drake’s streaming dominance and international appeal. The tour will showcase material from “For All The Dogs” alongside his extensive catalog.

Marketing strategies emphasize Drake’s independent stance, positioning him against industry conventions. Social media engagement shows strong fan support for his confrontational approach.

Tour dates coincide with several major hip-hop events, including Kendrick’s Super Bowl performance, suggesting deliberate scheduling to maintain media presence.

Recent collaborator tensions, including disputed features and production credits, indicate Drake’s increasing isolation from former allies while maintaining commercial success.

Industry analysts note this tour’s timing could escalate existing rivalries, particularly given Drake’s pattern of addressing conflicts through performance scheduling and social media.
