A new uncomfortable video showed President Biden and First Lady Jill Biden entering the Kennedy Center Honors on Dec. 8 to a standing ovation while ignoring a smiling Vice President Kamala Harris, who was cheering excitedly for the duo. Even though they took a position directly next to her husband, Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff, the Bidens did not welcome, say hello or even acknowledge Vice President Harris as they entered the 47th Kennedy Center Honors.
Joe and Jill Biden completely ignore a beaming Kamala Harris at Kennedy Center Honors 🤣😡

Artists who have influenced American culture and continue to have a significant impact on younger generations are honored annually by the Kennedy Center Honors program. The 2024 class of inductees includes filmmaker Francis Ford Coppola, singer-songwriter Bonnie Raitt, jazz musician Arturo Sandoval, rock band The Grateful Dead and the Apollo Theater.
It might not seem like a big deal to most, but this is the second time that Biden has ignored Harris in a public setting since she lost the election to President-Elect Donald Trump. It’s usually courtesy that every time the vice president and president meet, they at least acknowledge each other in some sort of fashion, but, as seen in the video, Biden didn’t say a word or even wave at her.
This adds credence to the reports that things are pretty messy right now in the Democratic Party. Since her loss to Trump, multiple members of the Democratic Party have spoken on why Harris lost the election, including former president Bill Clinton.
“Vice President Harris had an almost impossible job because she became a candidate at a time when no one else could legally access the money that had already been given to Joe Biden and there was no time to have primaries. So she was, in effect, a stranger to people,” Clinton told MSNBC. “The people knew what they liked about Trump and what they didn’t, and about 54 percent of them were, would have happily voted for somebody else, but people didn’t feel they knew about Harris.” He also added that Democrats needed to talk be in communication much more and stop playing “demographic games.”
This should be the focus over the next four years if the Democratic Party wishes to win the presidency in 2028 and beyond. Reports came out that Harris raised and spent roughly twice as much as Donald Trump in the final weeks of the race — and it was all for nothing as Election Night wasn’t even close. During the time covered by the new financial disclosures, which ran from Oct. 25 to Nov. 25, the Harris campaign raised $160 million and spent $277 million, while the Trump campaign raised $87 million and spent $113 million.
