The Gold & Platinum Awards Program

Established in 1958, the RIAA’s Gold & Platinum Awards Program honors artists based on their commercial success. The program includes various certifications: Gold (500,000 units sold), Platinum (1,000,000), Multi-Platinum (2,000,000), and Diamond (10,000,000). An artist’s team must submit specific sales and streaming data to achieve these accolades.
